Serving as the key partner for the Business Unit Manager of the Electrification, you will be a vital member of its finance team in Mexico City. You will help to set business strategy in line with wider division and product group strategies. In this role you will provide key support to the business, ensuring accurate tracking and processing of all transactions. You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks, and recommend actions.

Your responsibilities

  • Providing active finance support and improvement actions to ensure achievement of Marketing & Sales business targets, such as orders & revenues, product group mix, front end inventory, managing the E&O process according to local regulations and ABB guidelines. Overdoes, Op EBITA, cash flow, price management, rebates, discounts, and commercial operations effectiveness.
  • Understanding the business drivers, the current and long-term strategy and identifies opportunities for finance to add value to the business and set and implement finance strategy in the organization in line with ABB’s and ELIP division strategies covering expertise, competencies, and organization design.
  • Ensuring high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules and performing analysis, review, and proposal for actions to management supporting business performance.
  • Driving appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency and manage and closely monitor the cash flow and takes action to improve net working capital. Enforcing ABB’s and ELIP division specific finance policies, and applicable local reporting and filing requirements.
  • Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of commercial processes including re-bate and discount schemes, quotation, sales price management, credit, and collection management. Identifies, accounts for, and manages potential risks in the country relating to frame and other contractual agreements with particular focus on integrity and compliance on distributor and channel partners and engages with commercial operations and regional distribution centers in the country/region.
  • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with all relevant local internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency for area of responsibility.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related.
  • 5 years’ + experience in finance experience in a global matrix multinational environment.
  • Broad finance functional knowledge and expertise, including full range of functional finance skills: finance controlling, planning, FP&A.
  • Intercultural sensitivity and effectiveness - function well across cultures & act as facilitator between cultures.
  • Teamwork & collaboration - actively demonstrate teamwork & facilitate collaboration.
  • Strong partnering, project management, consultation, collaboration, change management and influencing skills.
  • Extensive experience working on contemporary Finance enterprise re-source management (ERP) systems (SAP, Torque etc.), applications (Power BI, BW). Excel, power point.
  • Advanced English level.
